Monasterio de Piedra

Begin your adventure in an exuberant garden, where rivers, lakes and waterfalls meet creating an idyllic spot beneath the shadow of the leaves and trees all fed by the majestic Río Piedra.

Near the city of Zaragoza you will find this historic natural park filled with dozens of waterfalls where nature has created many curious and wonderful paths. The soundtrack of your journey will be the sound of birds and rivers.

There’s a spot hidden inside the park called ‘La Cola de Caballo’, the precious jewel of this place, with over 50 meters of cascades that will leave you with your mouth open.

Rio Tinto Mines

In the province of Huelva you can find a landscape very similar to the moon but with red and ochre tones. It’s a giant opencast mine with layer upon layer of rocks and soil, creating a surreal scene such that only nature can comprehend what it’s really happening in this magical spot.

You can travel a little way through the mines by train. You will see different colours meeting each other in the same place: green, dusty pink, brown, yellow and red, but what will impress you the most is the curious hue of the river, which is the shade of a fine red wine. You can also discover secrets hidden beneath the rocks, like several structures left by old mining operations. The history of the mine dates at least as far back as the Roman era.

It’s not a zoo but it’s not a natural park either, it’s place created by the hands of men. One of the few places in the world where we can enjoy fauna of five different continents. This place is located in Cantabria.

Previously a mining area, it’s now the home of hundreds of different species like lions, tigers, elephants, gorillas and others that dispersed throughout hundreds of miles of the territory.

Arribes del Duero

On the west side of Zamora and Salamanca, you will find miles and miles of deep natural canons where the Duero river touches the frontier between Spain and Portugal. This same river has opened a stunning path through the mountains and the earth.

There are more than 120Km of this extended and gorgeous river with over 15 natural viewpoints. There are also several river cruise ships on which you can really enjoy the adventure of discovering this spectacular place that nature has created in Spain. These cruise ships depart from Portugal and Salamanca.

El Bosque Encantado

The name, which means The Enchanted Forest, says it all. Magic, hidden secrets, a place where everything can happen, filled with love stories and also broken hearted fairy tails. With over 300 living sculptures of impossible sizes.

A unique place in Europe and Spain, surrounded by natural mazes, bonsais, cactuses and thousands of plants make this spot the perfect place to get lost with your family and friends and enjoy a majestic journey with dwarves, fairies and mythological characters. Situated in San Martín de Valdeiglesias in Madrid.
